Although some may consider Alaska an unusual place to grow up, Melissa describes her upbringing much the same as many might describe their own childhoods. It was one full of fond memories made with the people in the places which helped shape who she is today. She watched her parents make a difference in the lives of others through their work as a firefighter and a teacher with their tireless dedication to their jobs that went above and beyond the ordinary. Naturally, Melissa finds fulfillment in doing the same. Her commitment to excellence, desire to understand and serve others, and tireless work ethic make Melissa a perfect fit among her fellow team members and real estate experts at The Monarch Group.

Working as a dental assistant on the side, Melissa fell in love with Colorado while completing her bachelor’s degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. As soon as she graduated she couldn’t wait to move to the city of Denver to make a life for herself. She spent 15 years in the dental industry advocating for a higher standard of care for patients, eventually becoming Regional Manager of a dental services organization.

When the time came for Melissa and her husband Max to buy their first home, they knew they needed someone they could really trust who had their best interest at heart. That person was local real estate expert and dear friend, Allie Kirby. It became clear to Melissa just how crucial a realtors’ responsiveness, resources and dedication are to the successful purchase of a home. Aside from its meaningful outcome, the whole process was both intense and so much fun that Melissa has been hooked on real estate ever since.
